Get Out of the Corporate Cave with Suzette Phillips of Mind Your Business Consultant LLC

Being in corporate is like you’re seeing things like a shadow in a wall in a cave. It looks like it’s being done for one thing, but it is really done for another item. In Suzette’s book Get out of the Corporate Cave: Leadership for the Real World, Suzette, a C-level Consultant at Mind Your Own Business, has given Real-life quandaries and situations with print kind of solutions to deal with them.

Suzette Phillips was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She moved away for some time with his army husband. After his retirement, Suzette and her family moved back to Tampa to help her sick mother. Suzette is a business owner and a published author. She also has 14 years of corporate experience and has become chief of operations for the last  7 years.

In this episode of Cafecito with Rosie, Suzette shared how she struggles to make paying clients understand that business consultation is not a luxury. It is still a must to make your business flourish, also, leadership impacts the business. You have to be a chameleon type of leader. Your leadership style should change per team member.

Millennials are often misunderstood. They are excellent and intelligent. They just want to be heard and appropriately taught, which is so different from the previous generation where questions mean undermining authority. So, to lead them on the right path, mentorship is important. We should make sure we find a suitable role model for these up-and-coming leaders.

Before the episode ends, Suzette reminds the listeners to never be afraid to stand up for themselves.
